An interpersonal process group provides a weekly space for members to discuss and explore emotions and challenges that they bring to group and which might arise during the group session. Members can share freely, receive feedback and process issues within the group. It emphasizes the importance of the relationship between members and facilitating therapist.

Similar to a longer process group with an aim of members sharing freely, receiving feedback and relating to each other, but within a more concentrated time frame. Each week the group will explore a specific issue related to the group theme while leaving space for other issues to arise that can be addressed in group. Short term groups also allow for facilitator interventions & experiments for members to deepen their experience in group and with themselves.

Groups offer a unique opportunity to experience yourself within a group. Group is meant to be a supportive and open space to see how you relate to others and how others relate to you. As so much of our suffering happens in relationship, relating with others and letting yourself be seen as you are can be a profound experience. Quiet Mind Psychotherapy groups meet online with some in person offerings too. *All teen groups meet in person.
It is strongly encouraged to also be receiving individual therapy as well, as so much happens in group. Additionally group work can really deepen your individual process as well. That being said, group can be a wonderful option for individuals not able to access individual therapy yet desire a deeper connection to themselves and others. If you want to be seen, heard and receive connection, you could be a good candidate for group.
Quiet Mind Psychotherapy offers a range of groups: Women’s Issues, Adoption Issues, Teen Identity, Teen Social Skills and Mindfulness. Please reach out to see if there is space in a current or upcoming group and to learn about new groups forming.
