My Approach
Trauma informed psychotherapist based in New York City. Working with patients since 2020, I am LGBTQ+ allied and offer individual and group therapy to teens and adults who are ready to know themselves in a deeper way.
My time as a crisis therapist for teens and young adults living in New York City’s shelter system echoed the importance of strength in chaos, connection in instability, and the urgency of being seen.
I work with teens who are in the powerful and often vulnerable process of discovering who they are—navigating identity, relationships, and the pressures of growing up in today’s world.
I also specialize in working with adults who are living with the complex impacts of trauma, particularly those with histories of adoption or foster care. I also work with clients facing both major and subtle life transitions and grief.
I often use a variety of methods in my work as different therapeutic approaches resonate with different people. I believe that there can be many doors into the same room. Some of these methods include Psychoanalysis, Gestalt Therapy, somatic techniques, and mindfulness practices.
My style is non judgmental, engaging and collaborative. I think therapy is most often a place to unlearn the ways in which we have come to see and limit ourselves. I will accompany you on your therapeutic discovery and provide you the push, support & safety needed to do the work of therapy.
Therapy is for everyone. It can be hard to sit with sadness, fear and shame. And it can feel daunting to regroup and reset ourselves when we feel we must try to heal alone.
We can create a new home in ourselves and discover new ways of relating to ourselves and to some degree, the world. We can create our new history in the here and now.
