My Approach
Trauma informed psychotherapist based in New York City. Working with patients since 2020, I am LGBTQ+ allied and offer individual and group therapy to adults, couples & teens who are ready to know themselves in a deeper way.
My time as a crisis therapist for teens and young adults living in New York City’s shelter system echoed the importance of strength in chaos, connection in instability, and the urgency of being seen. Growing up near Provincetown on the Outer Cape the ocean helps inform my approach—its tides, its constant change, and its ability to hold both turbulence and calm.
I work with individuals and couples who are facing both major and subtle life transitions and grief, as well as those living with the complex impacts of trauma, particularly those with histories of adoption or foster care. I also specialize in working with teens who are navigating their identity and issues surrounding growing up in today’s complicated world.
I often use a variety of methods in my work as different therapeutic approaches resonate with different people. I believe that there can be many doors into the same room. Some of these methods include Psychoanalysis, Gestalt Therapy, Ecotherapy, somatic techniques, and mindfulness practices.
My style is non judgmental, engaging and collaborative. I think therapy is most often a place to unlearn the ways in which we have come to see and limit ourselves. I will accompany you on your therapeutic discovery and provide you the push, support & safety needed to do the work of therapy.
Therapy is for everyone. It can be hard to sit with sadness, fear and shame. And it can feel daunting to regroup and reset ourselves when we feel we must try to heal alone.
We can create a new home in ourselves and discover new ways of relating to ourselves and to some degree, the world.
